AND FINALLY, WE'LL BREAK UP INTO SMALL GROUPS FOR DISCUSSION

Every Alpha evening focuses on conversation and discussion in groups where you can share your thoughts about faith and life and hear from others in your group. You can feel free to say whatever you like or as little as you like, it's up to you.

Anthem House to House

Anthem House to House is gathering together wherever you are, with others, in person or online, to share life, learn together, respond together, and be the church together.

Give Online

One of the most practical ways you can help is by remembering to support Anthem Church financially during this time. Our team is still working, our local and global partners who rely on our support are still serving and we are actively looking for opportunities to bring practical help to areas of our community that will be impacted.

Helping people find their way back to God.

Join us from wherever you are each Sunday.

Where we come from

Having experienced the love of Jesus and the hope that He brings in our own lives, we started Anthem Church with the desire to help people find their way back to God and bring a movement of reproducing churches to our cities.

We dreamed about helping people who were far from God find their hope in Jesus. We dreamed of helping people who were disconnected from the church find community in the people of God. We dreamed of helping all people find their purpose in the mission of Jesus.

We wanted to be a church that equips, encourages and releases people into the gospel adventure, empowered by the Holy Spirit.

We knew that if these dreams were going to happen we would need everyone doing their part, giving their lives. We are a people on mission together.

That was the genesis of Anthem. A church that would never stop making disciples and empowering people to take the name of Jesus to the nations. A church that would fight against the comforts and easy paths to stay focused on the mission of Jesus.

Where we're headed

Our vision is to bring a movement of reproducing churches empowered by the Gospel of Jesus to love and serve southern California. Our dream for the future is not that one church be built up, but that Anthem would be a part of a reproducing church movement throughout the world. To do this, we believe that the culture of Anthem must be centered around not just doing the work of the Gospel, but reproducing the work of the Gospel.

What This Means for you

What does this mean for you? Most importantly, you're always welcome at Anthem Church. Wherever you're at in your faith journey, you're welcome here.

Community Rule of Life

A rule of life is a schedule and set of practices and relational rhythms that help us create space in our busy world for us to be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do what Jesus did.

Advent 20/20

Advent, by its very nature, is a time of preparation and a time of hope. It is a time of expectation, waiting, and patience. Things that we have been doing so much of in 2020. But, insomuch as COVID waiting has provided more questions than answers, we know there is a magnificent gift at the end of Advent.

Becoming Resilleient Disciples

1 Peter

From the time of Abraham, God's people were a misunderstood minority and should expect to face hostility because they live under King Jesus' rule. 1 Peter teaches Christians that they have hope in the midst of their suffering and through hardship t become resilient disciples who are faithful in the face of cultural coercion and live a vibrant life in the Spirit.

10/10/80 Priciple

As a church, we want to grow in our generosity and stewardship. Part of this challenge is to stweard what God has given us with wisdom. From Scripture, this is a start to seward the financial resources God has given us:

GIVE FIRST… An act of worship that honors God. (Proverbs 3:5-10)

SAVE SECOND… Create margin in our lives life that builds wealth. (Proverbs 21:20)

LIVE ON THE REST… Cultivate contentment in all things. (Hebrews 13:5)

A heart of generosity

Giving cheerfully and sacrificially is a part of worship at Anthem. We give generously because God has first been generous to us. We dream of becoming a church marked by radical generosity.

Partner with God in what he's doing through Anthem Ventura. Your prayers, tithes, and offerings help fulfill our mission of helping people find their way back to God! Christ calls his followers to work and be on mission until He returns – and you are doing just that!

Ten percent of every dollar goes directly to supporting compassion and church planting work both globally and locally.

Supporting

Our Partners

In addition to the outreach and the work in our city that we fund and support, we give a portion of our budget each year to individuals and organizations doing great work consistent with our mission and values, in our city, our region, and around the world. These are a few organizations that we partner with financially.

  • The city Center

Providing a transitional living center for homeless individuals and families in Ventura, equipping them to rebuild their lives for self-sufficiency.

  • Genesis Collective

A community of churches, journeying together to see the gospel reach the world.

  • Zoe International

As an organization, Zoe provides children who’ve been victimized by human trafficking true healing and restoration in the name of Jesus Christ.

  • The Reproducing Church Fund

We believe that it is at the heart of God’s mission to advance the name of Jesus locally and around the world.

  • Touch Nepal

Less than 3% of people in Nepal, know Jesus. Countless others in remote areas have never even heard his name.

  • EFCA

We are a member of the Evangelical Free Church of America and contribute to their church planting work.

  • Online

Give safely and securely via our online portal.

The Leadership of Anthem

Begins With Jesus

The Bible clearly teaches that Jesus is the Head of the Church (Eph. 1:22–23, 4:15, 5:23). He is the One that we seek and follow as He continues the movement that He started 2,000 years ago through His perfect life, substitutionary death and victorious resurrection. After He ascended into heaven, He gave us His Spirit and established His Church to be led by elders.

It’s His church, and he’s our Senior Pastor. Underneath the guidance of Jesus are leaders who follow Jesus and encourage others to follow him as well. At Anthem Church, our formal leadership structure involves elders, staff, and church members.

  • Commit to regular giving

As a church we believe that everything we have is a gift from God, including our finances. Giving is a response to the generosity we have been shown. When Jesus talked about money, he urged people to prioritize their investment in the unseen world. The generosity of our church allows us to pursue the vision the God has for Anthem Church.
