Anthem Ventura is part a family of churches helping people find their way back to God. The Anthem family of churches is united around shared mission, vision, values, and submission to the Lordship of King Jesus. In our cities, we are working to obey Jesus in helping people find their way back to God.
Preparing for Anthem Online
To make the most out of Anthem Online, we've created some resources to help you and your family prepare for "church online."
Preparing to Worship
#1 → Pray:
-- Pray over your household (kids, roommates, etc.)
-- Pray over your neighbors
-- Pray over your city
-- Pray over your nation
#2 → Prepare for Worship
-- Read a Psalm
#3 → Prepare your kids
If you have kids, here are some thoughts on how to prepare and include them in the Livestream: Preparing your kids for church online →
You can also print out some resources to help engage your kids in the online gathering:
Get to Anthem Online
#1 → Get the live stream open in your preferred format
-- Church Online: live.anthemventura.org
You can AirPlay from your phone to your TV w/ Apple TV, Chromecast, etc.
-- Facebook: Facebook.com/anthemventura
#2 → Say hello in the chatroom or in the comments! Part of how you can engage in church online is in the chatroom. Old school, we know! Plan to be at Anthem Online a few minutes early to say hey to somone , catch up, and pray for each other.
#3 → Invite someone to join you! When we invite people to church, lives can be changed. We don’t invite people to church so we can grow our church, we invite them to church because we want them to have a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Responding In Worship
Here’s how you can respond in worship from wherever you are:
Sing some worship songs
In addition to the music during the online gathering, here’s our Spotify playlist for all the songs we sing (or will be singing) at Anthem.
One of the most practical ways you can help is by remembering to support Anthem Church financially during this time. We encourage you to be an online giver , preferably a monthly recurring giver.
Our team is still working, our local and global partners who rely on our support are still serving and we are actively looking for opportunities to bring practical help to areas of our community that will be impacted (much in the same way we did with the Thomas Fire).
You can use bread/juice or any other materials you have at home. Or, make it a meal and take your Sunday lunch as communion.
-- Read 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
-- Break bread and pour juice/wine
-- Take the bread together (His body, which is for us)
-- Drink the cup(s) together (The new covenant in his blood)
We believe in the power of prayer. We believe if anything of significance is going to happen, it is going to be birthed in prayer.
-- Pray for each other.
-- Text prayer requests/needs to (805) 516-0010 – If you would like somebody from our elder team to reach out to you, please indicate that in your text.
